One of the many editions of the French translation of the Omnium Gentium by the German humanist Boemus, an important and rare geographical compilation including a description of Africa, Asia and Europe. This picturesque collection, widely used by the great geographers, notably Sebastien Münster, is one of the first to contain a description of the customs of the inhabitants.
The book has been restored and the guards have been renewed.
