Very fine TÉHÉRAN inlaid with natural silk (Iran), first part of the 20th century
On an ivory background is a central diamond-shaped medallion with a central cruciform rhombic medallion, surrounded by entralacs of light blue, parma, brick, old rose, ivory and old gold foliage. Sky blue border with bouquets of flowers and multicoloured foliage between two main counter-borders cherry red background with garlands of flowers and outer floral braid.
