Late SAROUK, (Persia), late 19th century
An ivory octagonal counter-field, densely seeded with reddish flowering foliage, serves as a case for a hexagonal medallion, ruby in shape and colour, enriched with polychrome flowering stems. The whole is placed on a brick field with multicoloured plant trellis. The main anthracite border with polychrome flower corollas is flanked by two old gold counter borders with garlands of flowers.
