Important and original SIVAS Carpet (Asia Minor, Turkey), late 19th century, early 20th
century A raspberry-red field supports this "orchard", where sumptuous flowering trees and shrubs serve as perches for a multitude of colourful birds. We can notice, among others, peacocks, one of which makes the wheel, a pheasant and ibis, all more colourful one than the others. Two ivory counter-borders with garlands of flowers and birds frame the main pistachio tree with polychrome open flowers and small deer.
