Tapestry depicting, on the bank of a river, a dairy woman conversing with a farmer woman next to a pair of cows, while below a shepherd listens to a flute tune played by a cowherd, and ducks frolic on the bank. The country themes have very often been interpreted in the workshops of France and Flanders.
At the bottom right, on the edge of the panel field, the presence of the abbreviation ""G. WERNIERS L + F"" for Guillaume WERNIERS Lille (+fleurs de lys) France. A beautiful border reproducing a frame enhances this tapestry.
