This tapestry depicts a fable by La Fontaine, the rooster and the fox, where a clever fox can be seen charming an old rooster, perched on the branch of a tree. This fable is set in a rich undergrowth shaded by tall trees, at the edge of various bodies of water. Bourgeois residence, castle and village are on the horizon. A parrot witnesses the scene.
