Signed autograph letter addressed to René MAGRITTE.
Revel, s.d. [circa 1946], 2 pages in-4 in blue ink on paper. (Central folds, some stains).
Autograph letter signed to René Magritte about his political pamphlets published in 1946 and seized by the Belgian Post.
Bellmer is particularly enthusiastic about one of them which appeared to him: "as effective and essential as a good potion of nitric acid" and he wishes to imitate it: "As for me, I intend to make a small leaflet of this model on what has not been said during and since this war: the cold and clear glorification of "the one who did not walk" deserters, conscientious objectors, absolute resistants etc." (Pliures centraux, quelques taches).) - and there are some who have paid dearly for maintaining this position".
