In-4, full duck green morocco, mosaic composition of pieces of black and white morocco evoking silhouettes of buildings in the night, smooth back titled gold, lining of duck green morocco decorated with gold dots representing the lights of the city framing a rectangle of chocolate moire, chocolate moire guards, preserved cover and back, shirt and case (signed by Pierre Legrain and dated 1927).
First edition and first print of the etchings by André Dignimont. One of the 20 head copies on vélin d'Arches à la cuve, including a double suite of engravings on old Japan, the other on Montgolfier vellum. Copy to which a decomposition of the frontispiece in colour and a proof of the same frontispiece in black, on Montgolfier vellum.
