Boutet A Versailles. Beautiful double flintlock shotgun. Long round barrels in table decorated with gold around the sights and thunder, stamped, marked on the band "Boutet Arquebuer du Roy à Versailles". Locks signed " Boutet Arquebusier du Roy à Versailles " and round-bodied dogs. Round iron basins and dogs decorated with nets. Checked pistol grip and barrels with leather cheeks, decorated with a silver braid. Iron trimmings cut and engraved with hunting trophies, foliage and rinceaux. B.E. Louis XVI period, circa 1788. (missing the ramrod, cracks towards the breech tail and slight enture).
