The watercolour shows the same composition as the Capriccio (plate 12) in the series "Landschaften in Architectur-Stücken und Alterthümern" published by Johann Balzer after inventions by Leopold Peucker. Possibly our drawing is Peucker's preparatory drawing for the engraving (see the previous lot number).
