ZENITH Lot n° 31

ZENITH (Pilot Chronograph Aeronautica Militare Italiana / A-Cairelli Ref-CP-2), circa 1968 Exceptional and superb large opening pilot chronograph produced in 2500 pieces for the Italian army and distributed by Cairelli in Rome (signature at 6 o'clock, distributor for the Italian army). Steel case with screwed back with the inscription "A.M.I TIPO CP-2 A.CAIRELLI ROMA" (signed and numbered). Steel unidirectional bezel graduated on 60 with luminous material. Lacquered black dial with minute scale with two circled counters (minutes at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 9 o'clock). Skeleton hands and luminescent Arabic numerals. Strap in military style fabric with period Zenith pin buckle. Movement: ZENITH hand-wound mechanical calibre signed ZENITH / 146 DP (made in the DPDM workshops) Swiss. Diameter: 43 mm. Condition: Very beautiful (period Zenith case).
