The rifled barrel in Damascus steel with a chiselled cannon muzzle and diopter rear sight in 14 mm calibre, the top of the barrel with a narrow, chiselled ridge extending to the breech. The finest, delicate gold inlays at the muzzle and the breech. The miquelet lock also inlaid in gold and set with corals. Typically shaped stock, the mounted butt section coated in embossed silver plating and lavishly set with corals, the remainder covered in red velvet and embellished with elaborate, silver wire embroidery. The stock plated in gilt silver at the lock plate and also set on all sides with a great many corals. The forearm completely plated in floral, embossed sheet silver and 13 openwork barrel bands. Iron ramrod with cylindrical tip. Length 115 cm. A deluxe firearm that would have been worthy of a sultan. Condition: II -
