The narrow, single-edged blade broadening towards the double-edged point. The quillons and pommel cap in gilt silver with relief decoration and delicately wrought silver grip frame. The ivory grip scales underlaid with black horn and studded on both sides with three ornamental rivets in partially gilt silver, set with turquoises. The wooden scabbard covered in shagreen leather in the middle section, with long, chased floral fittings and two gilt suspension bars, all in silver. Magnificent sabre in excellent condition. Length 94 cm.
Three similar sabres are published in "The Danish Arms Society, Brons Hansen Collection", Copenhagen, 1989, fig. 34a - 34c.
