The original of this bust, executed in 1783 and presented today in the Queen's Chamber in Versailles, is based on the image of the Queen popularized by Boizot. It was judged at the time to be extremely similar to the Queen's physiognomy. The bust of Lecomte, like that of Boizot, was also produced by the Manufacture de Sèvres.
