New edition, illustrated with copper-engraved folding plates without text. Copy with annotations and caviarages of the period, for a new edition or another publication. The work appeared in the auction of this library, and is described under n° 11 of the Catalogue des livres de feu M. Crosat (Paris, Saillant & Nyon, 1771). Brigadier of the king's armies and Lieutenant General of Champagne, Louis-Antoine Crozat (1700-1770), Baron of Thiers, was the son of the wealthy financier and art lover Antoine Crozat.
