Round barrel, with thundering sides, dated "1817", stamped "mr" and punched "H" under a star in a rectangle and "n" in a circle. Drum lock signed "Manuf Royale de Versailles", stamped "g" under a star in a rectangle. Punched brass trimmings. Brass thumb piece to the Grandes Armes de France marked "King's bodyguards". Return of diaper plate stamped " c. noailles ". Iron ramrod. Walnut stock.
