Rifleman's sword of Monsieur (1777-1792).
Handle covered with basane with filigree. Chiselled brass mount. Long-tailed cap. Four-pronged guard and shell chiselled with the "Armes de France" under a crown and struck on both sides with grenades, with a small flattened quillon. Palmette counterguard, with leather poucier, fitted with a cap cover. Straight blade with flat back, (stitches in places), engraved in the third on both sides "Vivat Regum Carissimus", sun, arms of France, grenade, "Régiment des carabiniers de Monsieur Manufre de Klingenthal".
