Carnelian intaglio mounted on a modern gold ring. Fauna and Bacchante.
The group represents a faun holding a naked bacchante with his right arm. The woman's bust is turned backwards, her left arm joins the faun's face. At their feet, various attributes such as a pan flute, a stick, a thyrse and a shield.
Scene inspired by a fresco kept in the Archaeological Museum of Naples, coming from Ercolano.

At their feet, various attributes; pan flute, stick, tyrse and shield.
