nineteenth century Carnelian intaglio mounted on a modern gold ring. Fauna and Bacchante. The group represents a faun holding a naked bacchante with his right arm. The woman's bust is turned backwards, her left arm joins the faun's face. At their feet, various attributes such as a pan flute, a stick, a thyrse and a shield.
