This composition is known from a drawing by Raphael kept in the Louvre museum, taken up by Philippe de Champaigne -a painting that has now disappeared- and engraved by Gilles Rousselet (see L. Pericolo, Philippe de Champaigne, Brussels, 2002, p.233).
