Biography, presentation of artistic approach:
Born on 3 October 1981 in Panama, Héloïse Guyard lives in Les Andelys and works in Les Andelys and Paris.
"The process in my work is always the same: drawing a motif from the infinite number of patterns offered by nature, observing it, drawing it, interpreting it, repeating it. And inhabiting, or invading, a space with, in a sobriety of means, without complex devices. To be mobile and light to go there. In all my series, it is about drawing. Obsessively repeating the same motif. Something of the order of meditation. But also something consciously painful. My job is not to be much in the infinite universe, but to be there. To do. To find a measured place. To pay attention to the little things. Don't mess it up. To be slow again. Choose patterns from nature. Be fascinated by the resonance between them. Meandering rivers like blood vessels like branches like roots. Feathers like scales like dunes. Little puddings like cacti like peanuts like gherkins like seeds. The structure of molecules like constellations like cells. Gnarled wood like muscles like intestines. To be part of this nature, to be there. "
