"". This pastel is a study executed by Henry de Groux for a series that would be entitled Napoleon Emperor of the East. De Groux aspires to guide Napoleon's dream beyond accomplished facts. The Napoleon he shows us in this composition is a sort of almighty sultan, constellated, streaming in various tones and perched on a majestic camel.
