Justus Sustermans, Lot n° 437

IMAGE OF CATERINA PULICIANI Oil on canvas. Doubled. 50 x 39 cm. In decorative frame. Portrait of the breast to the right of the elegant lady, before a dark brown background, with a large black veil running from her head over both her shoulders. She is wearing a black dress with white lace in the décolleté area, a small red bow, a golden earring and a pearl necklace around her neck. With her slightly reddened cheeks and red lips she looks out of the picture with her brown eyes with interest. The painting goes back to the original of the same name by Justus Sustermans, dated around 1670 and located in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. (1211185) (3) (18)
