RIVER WITH SEA BOAT
Oil on wood.
64.6 x 96.3 cm.
Signed and dated "VG 1655" at lower left on the boat.
Marvellous toned depiction of a river, both banks of which can be seen. In the foreground a landing fishing boat, together with cows, in the background the representation of a place built close to the water with church and lock. The water is enlivened by the reflections of the boats and the shore closing the horizon.
