MARIÄ VERBUNDUNG Oil on chestnut wood. 114 x 81.5 cm. Unframed. The Annunciation scene shows Mary sitting on the right in front of a prayer desk in the traditional manner, while a young angel, who emphasizes the left half of the picture, floats up with open colored wings. In his left hand holding a lily stem with white flowers, the right forefinger points upwards, towards a cloud opening in which God the Father appears, surrounded by winged putti. Between the heads of the main figures, compositionally on a diagonal line, the white dove of the Holy Spirit. Opposite the shades of red, the green colour of the right velum and the turquoise green of Mary's mantle can be seen here in a complementary way. Interestingly, this colour composition is also found in the flower arrangement of the golden vase, on the floor in front of the balustrade. Only slightly vaulted.
