Published on the reserve funds of the society of the Académie des beaux livres then dissolved, by the care and under the direction of the author, it is illustrated with 31 etchings out of text engraved after Granié and Heidbrinck, printed on japanese. All the pages of the volume are bordered with floral frames, those of the false title, justification and title being stencilled.
Very nice copy, in perfect condition, under double cover and parchment folder from the publisher.
The first cover is decorated by Georges de Feure with a beautiful plant composition in shades of green, and the second, remarkable, was drawn by Paul Berthon and printed in parma on purple paper. The parchment folder, complete with its four silk laces, is decorated with an embossed decoration with a gilded background signed Belville.
