In-12, LII and 484 pp.: long-grained green morocco, plates with a wide golden border decorated with a net, a small chain and a floral wheel, coat of arms in the centre, the remaining part of the plates cut out in reserve and showing, in the background, a thin metal plate covered with a red varnish with marbling effects, smooth spine decorated, inner wheel, gilt edges (period binding).

The very singular model of this binding could only arouse the interest of Léon Gruel who affixed the ex-libris of his collection on a guard. Tiny chips in the varnish.
