The protean work of Cécile Dauchez is interested in the processes of image appearance.
She sets up a territory of experimentation in which her sometimes minimal gesture works with the trace, marks, textures of raw materials. Her approach is not linked to the shaping of an idea or a preconceived concept, but on the contrary, she tries to make displacement, intuition, trial and error, the operating modalities of an artistic realization.
The techniques of image reproduction are part of this mental journey which, through manipulation, will lead to the work.
