Vendée] Louis XIV (1638-1715) Exhibit signed "Louis", Aix, February 1660, countersigned by Henri-Auguste de Loménie, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, oblong wove vellum, bearing the Great Seal of Majesty in green wax pendant with red and green silk lakes and countersigned with the coat of arms of France, and the Small Seal in green wax pendant with identical lakes and countersigned with a fingerprint. Letters patent from the King of France granting Pierre des Herbiers de l'Etenduère, sieur de la Morandière et du Pouët, to have a pew and burial right in the choir of the parish church of Saint Médard in Saint Mars la Réorthe, of royal foundation, "in reward for the good and pleasant services he has rendered us for several years", both in the regiment of our guards and at the sieges of Aire, Bapaume, Lens, L'Isle Lerel and other places when on other occasions he has given evidence of his valiant good conduct and his inviolable attachment to our service" Scroll with two royal seals, rare.
