[Royalty - Holy Empire] Margaret of Austria (1480-1530) known as Margaret the Great. P.S. "Marguerite", October 7, 1525, at Bois-le-Duc, and countersigned, oblong paper in folio, addressed "A noz tres chers et bien amez les président et gens des comptes à Lille". Order given to the Chamber of Accounts of the County of Flanders in Lille to deliver a new extract of the bond due to Laurent Vital, former valet of Charles V, in order to receive the sum of the pledges due to his deceased father Jean Vital, servant of Charles the Bold: "Marguerite archduchesse d'Austrice ducesse et contesse de Bourgone douagrere de Savoye / Tres chers et bien amez de la part de Laurent Vital parcidevant varlet de chambre de l'empereur mon seigneur et nepheu a été exposée nous a été exposé comment il a plusieurs fois sued for being paid some nine score two pounds fourteen sols of 40 gros due to his late father because of his pawns counted by the swindlers of the ordinary expenditure of the late ostel of our dearest and grandfather Duke Charles whom God absolves, of which it was left by the late Master Gerard de la Roche during his lifetime as Master of the chamber to the deniers of the said late sgr, and from which the said exhibitor has had extract which he has now lost (...) requesting us to escort you and order you to make on this despecher another and new extract in order to agree on the said payment (...) that the said exhibitor be drawn up from the funds of the expected good services by him to my lord and nephew (...)".
