PIRONI DIDIER: (1952-1987) French Formula One racing Driver. Pironi won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1978. Rare signed 7 x 9.5 photograph by Pironi, the single shot image depicting the F1 driver in a half length pose wearing his racing overalls. Signed in bold blue ink to a clear area to the centre of the image. Pironi survived after a severe accident when he was leading the championship in 1982. Five years after, when he was able to walk again, Pironi turned to offshore powerboat racing, but was killed in an accident near the Isle of Wight.
