Provenance: Former collection Prosper Flury-Herard (L1015) Former Nicolas Landau collection (by oral tradition) Old David David-Weill Collection This drawing probably represents the foundation of the Observatory in 1667. It is probably part of the series on the history of the great events of the reign of Louis XIV called the "Petites conquests".
