In the late 1990s, Tokion commissioned several graffiti heavyweights, including Barry McGee , Phil Frost, Shepard Fairey, KAWS, and Misha Hollenbach, to participate in a project as representatives of the new generation and evolution of the original 80s graffiti movement. This example was created by KAWS and was plastered throughout San Francisco in 1999. Signed in print: Signature is printed as part of the print.
These were distributed as part of a Tokion guerrilla marketing campaign way back in the day, way before Kaws is what he is today. Most of these were posted in the streets of San Francisco and destroyed by weather or public works when removing them. Very few of these still exist today.
