Exceptional and very fine Kilim Senneh (North West of Persia) end of the XIXth century
Needlework with very fine and naturally dyed woollen threads on cotton foundations. Tapestry technique.
Decorated with seedlings of bird beaked botehs encrusted with small seeds (symbol of genesis and fecundity) on a midnight blue background.
Triple borders, the main one being golden yellow with flower buds and stylized knives.
Note the natural abrasive (only God is perfect, in the tradition of the weavers)
