De Inclytis totius Italice provinciae, ac Romanorum gestis Libri XVIII. Paris, Galliot du Pré, 1512. In-folio, marbled calf, spine embellished (19th century binding). Moreau, II, n° 310 - Brown, 185. The illustration consists of a series of 90 vignettes (40 x 55 mm), 16 of which are repeated, depicting, under volutes of foliage, figures with half-body, knight, emperor, etc., and 2 vignettes of a larger size (60 x 47 mm) showing the emperor holding the globe and a king leaning on the shield of Malta. These woods seem to be copied from those that adorn the Memorabilia gesta vivorum illustrium printed in Rome by J. Besicken and S. Mayr, in 1494. Edition due to Nicolas Maillard, writer from Rouen, printed by Gilles de Gourmont for Galliot du Pré. Clear wet spots at the bottom of some sheets. Split hinge. Used binding
