Unsigned Japan, Edo period (1615-1868) Both pieces depict ferociously romping Shishi. Very lively and densely crafted execution. The bronze is painted black while the eyes of the Shishi are gilt. In wooden box. LENGTH 3.2 to 3.4 cm Condition: Minor associated wear. Very good condition. Provenance: From a Hungarian private collection. ?
