[Fashion] 13 designs - "Plein soleil" Collection Ink on papers, signed with the stamp, titled Summer 1966 27 x 21 cm Provenance: > Library of Madame B., Rome, model and stylist in the 1930s-40s In 1957, then president of the Chambre syndicale de la couture, Jacques Heim (1899-1967) founded the ready-to-wear and design group to which Grès, Lanvin, Jacques Griffe, Nina Ricci, Carven and others belonged. His desire to extend the work of the couturier to luxury ready-to-wear lines goes back to 1934, the year of a study trip to New York where he accompanied Lucien Lelong. Two years later, in 1936, he launched "Heim Jeunes Filles", a line aimed at the daughters of his clients, less expensive than his haute couture collections. The "Jacques Heim Actualité" collection belongs to the luxury ready-to-wear lines launched by the couturier. Jacques Heim's creation is characterized by its classicism and rigorous sense of proportion. Located on avenue Matignon in Paris with branches in Biarritz, Cannes and Deauville, the Maison Jacques Heim (1899-1967) dressed a brilliant international clientele, notably the Spanish court. After three generations, the house closes in the 70s. Source: Laurent Cotta for the Palais Galliera, Paris Fashion Museum Sold as is
