Dudley Hardy A Gaiety Girl, 1895 Original color lithograph on fine vellum Signed on the plate Dimensions 39 x 29 cm The sheet bears the publisher's stamp and the lithograph is also authenticated by the dry stamp of the publisher, L'Imprimerie Chaix. The first edition of this English poster was created in 1894 for the play "A Gaiety Girl" by Prince of Wales Theatre. Lithography was edited by Les Maîtres de l'Affiche in the Chaix printing house in 1895. It was part of this eponymous portfolio (plate n°4) which represented the most beautiful reproductions of the illustrated posters of the great artists of the time.
