FACHRALO (Caucasus-Armenia), late 19th century
A cherry-red field decorated with four polychrome stylized tree of life marine boxes, four marine entomological diamond shapes, six arrowheads, small figures, animals, flowers and small symbols, hosts a serrated, marine counter-field, depicting the "foundations" of a church, which supports a hexagonal, serrated brick medallion with two nested entomological shapes at its centre, with hooks, bottle green and anthracite, with a multicoloured gem heart. Two cruciform forms in Kotchaks, four "insects", two animals and various symbols brighten up the whole. The main border is with ivory "Kotchaks" (ram's horns) in opposition, delimiting small cherry, navy and emerald caissons with flowers and hourglasses. It is flanked by two marine and anthracite counter-borders, with positive/negative chess counters. Highlighting of two-tone brick, ivory and old gold ribbons.
Nice together.
