Brand resulting from the merger between Socony, New York and Vacuum Oil (Gargaoyle), New Jersey, in 1931.
Pegasus was already appearing in 1920 on Vacuum brand cans for Mobil Oil.
Format: large flat crest, double-sided.
Process: stencil and screen printing.
Illustration: Pegasus horse in red.
Lettering: blue and red, on a white background.
Enamel: Vitracier Neuhaus.
Circa 1950.
116 x 118 cm.
Good condition, some very small chips, lack of enamel.
