CHINA - 18th century Archaising bowl in dark rhino horn carved on each side with a taotie mask, the two handles formed by two stylized and archaising dragon heads decorated with a longevity mushroom (lingzhi), the inside carved in relief with a chilong coiled on each side. (Gerce plugged up). H. 5.5 cm. Length 11.3 cm. Weight: 98 grams Online bidding by Drouot Live will not be possible. Rhinoceros horn specimens (Rhinocerotidae sp.) pre-Convention, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore in accordance with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2- Wmc, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore in accordance with the French decrees of 16 August 2016 and 4 May 2017. For a trip out of the European Union, a CITES from re-export will be necessary, the latter being the responsibility of the future purchaser. The issuance of such a document is not not automatic. For a possible re-export, it will be up to the successful tenderer to find out - before any purchase - from the country's customs authorities concerned, particularly in the case of the United States or Asia.
