Acephalus bust in limestone carved in roundish stone. Male character wearing a surcot with a hood on his back; his left hand was to hold a book on the edge that has now disappeared. Second half of the 13th century Height: 33.5 cm (fragment, visible lacks) This fragment of beautiful quality of execution is to be compared to the acephalous statue made towards the end of the 13th century of Pierre, count of Alençon, from the priorale Saint-Louis de Poissy, preserved in the collections of the Musée de Cluny in Paris (inv. Cl.23408, fig. a and b). The complete statue must have been quite similar in size to this representation of the son of Saint Louis; the character wears a similar surcot with a hood on his back.
