STATUETTE OF AMITAYUS made of gilded copper alloy, represented sitting in dhyanasana on a lotiform base, hands in dhyanamudra holding the vase, dressed in a dhoti and adorned with jewellery, a serene face, hair styled in a bun with two long strands running out to gently fall on the shoulders, the forehead crowned with a large worked tiara. (A weld taken from the scarf and the gilding of the rubbed head). China, Qing dynasty, 18th century. A GILT COPPER ALLOY FIGURE, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY. HIGH. 18.3 CM (7 3/16 IN.)
