It opens with a pretty allegorical frontispiece engraved on copper by Barthélemy Bardou, whose central cartouche, left in reserve, bears the calligraphic title in capital letters and the date 1667. About sixty astronomical figures engraved on copper cut out and glued in the text.
Handwritten bookplate Philippi Cheurier (or Chevrier?) 1709 reported and glued on a guard. Ex-libris engraved Marco Birnholz and Augustin Séguin.
