They represent the buildings and gardens of the Summer Palace (Yuan Ming Yuan) in Beijing commissioned by the Emperor Qianlong. Edition at 275 copies on Vélin de Rives paper made in imitation of the Chinese paper used for the original edition, of which only three complete copies are listed and of which our engravings are reproduced.
