With a quadrangular section, it opens to a top cover inside which there is a mirror and two front wings, which open to several drawers. It is richly carved with a decoration of auspicious symbols including sapecks inscribed in Manchu and Mandarin as well as four bats. Above all, a large dragon flying among cloudy scrolls unfolding over the entire summit surface once the box is closed. Light brass trim including hinges, side suspended handles and scalloped plates / reinforcements (small gaps including at least one brass plate).
