Oriental flintlock pistol, barrel with sides then round engraved on the first third of foliage and flowers on a gold background, length 25 cm, calibre 17 mm; engraved and gilded breech tail; signed round-body lock: "Dugêne Jean à St-Étienne", a dog with an engraved and gilded gooseneck; silver trimmings decorated with foliage and trophies, bearing oriental punches; walnut stock entirely filigree with silver decorated with foliage and foliage; faux baguette; total length 41 cm. (Refurbished barrel and lock gilding).
Period around 1840/1850. Good condition.
POINTS: probably tugra of Sultan Abdul MECID, Egyptian punch around 1839/1861.
