Oriental flintlock pistol, barrel with sides then round, browned, engraved on the first third and damascened gold, bearing a punch representing an animal, length 27.8 cm, calibre 12 mm; golden breech tail; lock with flat body engraved with flowers and foliage, bearing a signature on the field, hammer and battery engraved afterwards; silver trim decorated with foliage and flowers, large mouthpiece simulating a stick, cut-out iron trigger guard, engraved and carved with a flower; slightly carved walnut stock; total length 40.5 cm.
Period, probably Turkey, around 1800/1830. Quite good condition.
