Large flintlock pistol present for North Africa by Lepage Moutier, given on the orders of King Louis-Philippe, barrel with thunder panes, engraved with etching on the three upper sides of flowers and golden foliage, then round, stamped: "302", length 36.3 cm, calibre 17.5 mm; breech tail engraved in succession; platinum with blued flat body, engraved and gilded, signed: "LEPAGE-MOUTIER ARQER DU ROI À PARIS", swan-neck dog engraved and blued as well as the battery, volute basin; embossed silver fittings decorated with flowers and foliage, stamped; walnut stock; wooden rod, horn tip; total length 53 cm. (Refreshed blue and gold plating).
Louis-Philippe period. Good condition.
PUNCHINGS: goldsmith "J L" a beam of lictor in the middle, for Jean LEPAGE; Minerva's head 2nd title from 1838.
Louis Michel LEPAGE MOUTIER, harquebusier in Paris, 1842/1865, he succeeded his father-in-law Henri LE PAGE.
