Military percussion rifle type 1822, mounted with silver trims decorated with stamped foliage and scrolls, diaper plate also in silver, plain, with an oriental inscription; signed plate: "Manceaux à Paris", calibre 17,5 mm; iron rod of military type; length 131 cm.
Period around 1838/1840. Good condition.
POINTS: Minerve's head looking to the right, 1st title of Paris, from 1838; gold and silversmith: "J M" Joseph François MANCEAUX, installed at 5, rue des Grands Augustins, 3, rue Lenoir Saint-Honoré near the Halle aux Draps in 1823, then 27, quai de la Cité in 1830 and 27, quai Napoléon in 1840.
