Jacob Doussin & Co. tobacco factory in Berlin, including canaster manufacturers. Collecting tape with 45 wrapping papers for cigars or tobacco packs, mainly from the production of the Berlin Doussin factory. Berlin, c. 1800-1840. octave (11 x 15 cm). New Pbd. in new Lwd. cassette with gold-plated RSch.
With a total of 45 papers, 13 of which are double-sheet or foldable, 9 printed in colour or multicoloured and often on coloured paper. Partly with quite elaborate figurative decoration, realized in copper engraving, lithography, woodcut or simple lead typesetting. Some papers dated (1828, 1834, 1840). Cultural-historical interesting collection of extremely rare papers. The vast majority of the papers from the Doussin factory, which was mentioned in Gädicke's Berlin encyclopaedia as a tobacco spinning mill as early as 1806, were produced in this way. Furthermore one paper each from: Neuwenhuylen & van den Bergh (Amsterdam), Van Laer & Jut (ibid.), Friederich Justus (Hamburg), A. Kellermann (ibid.), Fribourg & Freyer, Importer of foreign snuff and tobacco (London?) as well as a Polish-German inscribed paper from Rawicz/Rawitsch. - Partly tanned inside.
